Goodness this has been a long time coming!

I wanted to take a second to create this journal and talk about some plans and goals for this next year!

2021 was a very mixed year for me. Some low lows but also meeting some cool new people that I respect a lot. Sleep schedule is super messed up, started to develop insomnia stemming from general anxiety I would expect. I think I'm starting to get better now, but I've had that same thought three or four times already and every time it doesn't last, so we'll see how this one goes.

Uhh, I have a new site now!

https://www.chaoscomposer.com

Still working on fleshing it out but it's been nice! More of a hub for stuff than any replacement, all my art will still be up on dA of course.

Today (the 16th) is actually the ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY of Heart of Mana launching over on Tapas and Webtoons! Please check it out if you haven't already! The introductory arc is just about complete now, and I'm super excited for what's coming up in the future of the story!

Found here, and also in the gallery page. I'll post a few more chapters soon, but chapter 31 just went up yesterday so you'll get to read quite far ahead on these other dedicated sites too!

A lot of other various projects going on as well, from some game stuff to more writing. Would love to hit a goal of making 1000 comic pages this year, on both Heart of Mana and maybe another graphic novel from my list? I enjoyed working on my Pantheon Spectator entry immensely in 2021, so I think a few different projects would feel good.

That being said, I am definitely done competing in OCTs, for a while at least. It would have to be the literal perfect premise to bring me back haha. I am kinda getting that itch to judge again though.

Yeah dA is still gonna be mostly comic stuff for a while, I'm not really sure what else to put up here! I don't sketch as often and when I do I don't really think to put it on dA. We'll have to see what the future brings for this account, but I'm not bailing out quite yet on it.

Thanks for chilling, hope everyone has a banger of a year

I might as well do an update journal of some kind? I don't know. Not too much has changed.

You may have noticed I finally published the rest of C6 on dA, so now the entire comic is up. I really should have done that a couple months ago, but oh well. SO yeah. You can read it all now, if you were waiting for me to be done before you read it
www.deviantart.com/chaoscompos…

I also published The Repentance of the Perfect Ghost a while back, so yeah, here's my obligatory plug for that

TheBookPatch.com Buy Now style 1 button

Repentance
is set in the Infinite Order universe like my other existing books but it is a complete story in and of itself, with no overlapping characters for once. It's technically a prequel because it happens so far in the past, so here we are, books 0 through 4

Whew just like that, 8 years later, half of the Infinite Order books have been completed!
There are still 2 main books, a mystery collection, a short story collection, and the finale of Hunters to do so I still have a lot of work ahead of me. This will also be mixed with other stories though as previously mentioned.

I'm also STILL working on Mystery Mayhem, jeez. Talk about taking too long. It should come out this next month for sure but yeah missed the ball on this one

Also, I was tagged by JadedStrayHyena with those 12- question things from a while ago! I'm late on this sorry but I was saving it to put at the end of the next journal I wrote, and here we are, 4 months later.
(Not gonna tag anyone because I already did this a long long long time ago as well)

1) If you could switch places with one of your characters - you in their world and them in your place - which one? What would it be like?
- Oh uh... I don't want to die so I'd probably have to pick a tame story of mine. Actually anyone from Heart of Mana would be cool, because then at least we'd get some actual magic along with the horrors!

2) Magic or science fiction - which would you want more in this reality?
-Magic for sure! Stuff in science fiction will become our reality eventually anyways, given enough time.

3) Favorite trap (traps like in snares, pitfalls, tactics, and such) in fiction? video games, books, movies, whatever
-I always like a good bait and switch so I'll say Angler-fish tactics is good. Some examples of this could be Mimics, Nosk, the little girl you thought you were saving is actually an evil ghost, etc

4) You get stuck in a surprise trivia show! (Or stuck in a Riddler deathtrap for those more comic minded) Which category of question would give you the most trouble?
-Probably history or geography

5) Worst jumpscare you've ever seen or dealt with?
-
I get jumpscared very easily, so probably Minecraft when a skeleton just falls down from a cave out of nowhere with no buildup/warning

6) To turn it around, have YOU ever scared or startled someone? If not you, then has one of your OCs?
-I have accidentally scared people before, but not on purpose. Instead I'll bring up my Twitter account, Pocket Hauntings, where lots of spooks occur!

7) Weirdest fear ever given to one of your characters?  (Not to trivialize phobias, but admit it, out of context, some seem weirder than others)
-Hanna was so afraid of bees at one point that it would cause her to have anxiety attacks. And I JUST now realized that I missed the perfect opportunity to provide a logical explanation for it in-universe. Oh well, the books are out.

8) Speaking of fear, favorite Halloween costume in general?
-Honestly I never really got TOO into halloween past middle school. I've gotta say the sheet-ghost is a classic though.

9) Yay or nay on masks?
-Yey

10) If you had to come up with a hero name that wasn't any of your current usernames, what would it be? What about villain name?
-How about "The Spectacular Schoolfish" and their archnemesis, "The

11) Your life is super exaggerated in comic form! Who or what would be your arch-nemesis?
-How about a shadow version of myself that is a representation of wasted potential in terms of time, basically the 'Why aren't you working' guy.

12) If you had to name your autobiography/journal comic of your life to this point, what would you call it?
-"ChaosComposer's Guide to Being Kind of Productive"
I feel really proud of being able to say "hey I put these 5 books out into the world" but also I spend a LOT OF TIME not being productive. Which is okay! But I also do want to be more productive. So it's a weird feeling and I feel like this title would actually fit, as silly as it sounds.

Wow, a lot has changed since I last gave an update! I can hardly believe it was March. Number one update, which I’ve definitely mentioned on Twitter and my gallery and such, but my fourth book, The Celestial Six, is out. The entire comic is out on the Tapas site, and I’ll post Chapter 10 to dA in a month or so.

You can also buy a physical copy of this book should you wish; I have both colored and greyscale versions available. (The greyscale is much much cheaper.)
TheBookPatch.com Buy Now style 1 button color
TheBookPatch.com Buy Now style 1 button greyscale

But wait, I hear you proclaim, the journal title says sixth book! If C6 was your fourth book, don’t you mean “I’m writing this Journal instead of my fifth book” ?

Hell no son, because I just finished my fifth book, The Repentance of the Perfect Ghost, last week. This is a standalone prose story set in the Infinite Order universe just like all my other books! It is not available in a physical form yet, because I still have to go through and make some minor tweaks and grammar/spellchecks, but the writing is done! I’ll be sure to update once I get that all ready. Unfortunately, I do not think I will be posting Repentance to dA. The only place to read it will be in a physical book.

I know some of you might feel like jumping into the middle of a series like this too daunting, which I definitely understand. The first few books I’ve published have content from seven years ago at this point! It’s an awkward spot where my current standards have progressed so far from the first stories I published. I don’t blame anybody for not wanting to get into stories with such old content, especially when the rough drafts are all on dA. I’ll definitely be releasing more standalone stories, unrelated to Infinite Order canon, in the future.

However, currently I’ve got my hands full with a few other things-

Mystery Mayhem Spectator Entry: I’m making one! I’m using a mix of prose and drawings for this, for my own sanity, because I am still fatigued after finishing C6. This single SE will wrap up the entirety of the rest of the story I had planned for Mystery Mayhem. I’m hoping to get it finished by the New Year.

From the Case Files of Hanna Honeybee: This is my NaNoWriMo project for this year! (My main one at least, I’m double dipping with the MMSE a little bit.) This is a collection of mystery stories featuring Hanna (who ironically appears in both Mystery Mayhem and C6). These stories take place on Earth, inbetween Hunters and What We See. This means, hey! No supernatural crap in these mysteries! I’ve had this project planned for a long time; one of these short stories I actually started in 2015! Expect that one to get a major rewrite. Not sure how far I will get into this project during NaNo, but I want to get a few more stories done and get myself in the habit of writing again.

Blue Moon: I did not make Chaos Run like I said I would, but I DID make another game! It isn’t complete yet, but I’m really happy with how far we got. The game was made over the course of a single month, and while I haven’t been focusing a ton on it recently due to NaNo and these other projects, I will definitely be finishing that game up. This is also the first game in which I brought in a significant amount of outside help. The team has been wonderful and made some awesome stuff. chaoscomposer.itch.io/bluemoon

MetylSQL (MetylBot MySQL database integration): I have a discord bot in my server (link here- discord.gg/rXXeZ9d ) which right now has just a few pretty basic commands. However, as a contributor to the OCTList, I have also been working on integrating MetylBot with a SQL database to, for lack of a better word, revolutionize how we keep track of OCTs and their statistics. There is a lot of testing I will need to do to get this working, but there is progress being made. Keep an eye out for more updates coming in the future!

I have a few other projects in the pipelines, but this is what my focus will be for a while. I could go into them, but I feel like this journal is already overwhelming. With all of this focus on outside stories and stuff, I’m not quite sure what this means for my dA in terms of general art. I’m not leaving or anything, but we may return to snailspeed in terms of miscellaneous uploads. I guess we will see how it goes.

Stay safe,

Love for everybody.

Small update! I got the boot in Mystery Mayhem, which did make me a bit sad, but I'm still really happy with what I made. I've got a ton of other stuff to work on as well, including C6 and OYJ, so the spare time is definitely appreciated! I still had a ton of fun in the tournament, and I mayyyyyyy be continuing the puzzle I mean comic in a spectator entry! I've never felt motivated enough to do a spectator entry before, but Mystery Mayhem is really appealing to me and I've got a lot of ideas still! :
Disclaimer, both OYJ and C6 especially are higher priority right now, so I might not finish the MM comic until very late in the tourney, but being able to do it on my own time will be nice too.

I got destroyed by tags. I may tag people, I might not? Not sure. Answering all these questions will give me plenty of time to think it over.

Rules:
1. You have to post the rules.
2. You have to answer the 12 questions you were asked and ask 12 questions to the people you tag.
3. Tag 12 people.
4. Tag those people in the end.
5. You can't say that you "don't do tags."
(I'm a generous and rebellious boi tho, so I say you can skip rule 5 if you REALLY don't want to.) (Thanks Radda)
6. Tag backs are permitted.
7. You must do the journal entry.

Level 1: Raddatoons

I've finally been let out of my box! Thank the stars that Radda was finally clumsy enough to knock over that box of profile pictures or else I'd never have been let out!

MY 12 QUESTIONS TO YOOOOOUUUU:
1: Preferred video game difficulty?

Probably leaning towards the harder ones! Whatever is the most fun, and is able to give a good challenge without being completely BS.
2: How would you describe your own art style?  (And no, "Trash" is not an acceptable response, you have good art and I want you to appreciate it.)

My art is very cartoony! I've describe it as loose, not too consistent, but fun.
3: Been to any good conventions?

I've been to ECCC once, which was great, as well as Rose City and Retro Gaming Expo a couple times.
4: If you met an exact copy of yourself, what would you(s) do?

Are you kidding? That's 2x story/comic output and it's not even close. Probably even more, with the extra motivation that having a clone would lend to both of us!
5: Left or Right handed?

I am a righty! Oh boy this question is going to be asked a lot isn't it
6: How many of your OCs would you actually be friends with?

This is... subjective. My current list of characters is like.... 650 now? So I'd have a WHOLE BUNCH OF FRIENDS!
(Also a crap-ton of not pleasant people out there, so uh... maybe it's for the best)
7: What's the most bizarre thing you've ever made?

Probably... my S0nic comic. It's Sonic meets Portal and so many shenanigans.
8: Instrumental music or lyrics?

I love both! How can I choose as a Composer?
9: If you were forced to see the world in monochrome, what color would you want it to be?

Hmm... you'd eventually just accept whatever color you picked as normal. I don't think it would matter! But for fun let's say blue!
10: If you ever feel overloaded with work, how do you handle it?

Keep going. I have so much I just can't stop. If it gets overwhelming, I may take a couple days off for gaming, but any longer and you'll find yourself just stretching your break for weeks and weeks. Within a day, I may have videos or music going as well when I work! Working while distracted might make you less productive. But you're still getting work done.
11: Do you enjoy cooking, or does it not work right in your hands?

It's not too bad! I haven't done a lot of it, but I think it'll be fun learning more.
12: From "fresh dairy cheese" to "don't let social media find out about this," how's your sense of humor?

I tend to think I can get a laugh or two here and there.

Level 2: Theimmortalivan

Ivan was able to get the tag off of himself, but now it's all over me, WTF?! Time to get it off.

1: Favorite flavor of ice cream?

Mint chocolate chip and it's not even close.
2: If you could go anywhere in the world where would it be?

I've never really been much of the travel type, but going to a bigger convention and maybe meeting up with more OCT friends somehow could be nice.
3: Favorite planet and why?

Jupiter! For nostalgia. As a kid I loved that planet. And I do think it's cool, a swirling mass of endless storms for thousands of miles with no discover-able ground in existence.
4: Best experience in a video game!

I had to think about this one a bit... but in Sonic Heroes, there are 4 teams to choose from. After playing through the game as a kid and beating all 4 campaigns, I had put the game down. A few years later, I picked it up again just to play... and HOLY SHIT! IF YOU GO RIGHT ON THE CAMPAIGN SELECT... THERE'S A WHOLE FINAL BOSS CAMPAIGN I DIDN'T KNOW ABOUT!
It wasn't the most emotional I've gotten from a game, and not even the most impactful... but it was the first time I was like... WOW! from a game, even if it was a very long time ago.
5: What's your first memories of drawing?

More Sonic stories. In about second grade, my friend showed me Sonic, and I tried to draw him and it was poor. Either this, or drawing Star Wars stuff with my dad as I was very very young.
6: Your best friend's getting mugged right in front of you! It's just a prank but you don't know! What do you do?

Yo I'm a black belt I'll beat that mugger up and then apologize as he screams it's just a prank bro
7: What's your oldest oc?

The Robot is a character I made in second grade, so around 2004-2005.
8: worst/wierdest experience in a video game? (either or, or both!)

I was quite underwhelmed by the Minecraft Final boss when that came out. The worst experience I think I've had was playing Sonic 1 actually, especially when I was too young to appreciate the challenge of some of the later levels and just tried to rush through, ending up getting game overs repeatedly.
9: Favorite show ever?

Even between Regular Show, Adventure Time, and Scooby Doo, I still think Courage the Cowardly Dog is my favorite show. It influenced me a lot.
10: The worst movie you've ever seen in the history of ever!

In Hardwood OCT we watched a movie that was I think called 'The Fly?' It was pretty terrible. It's a close call between that, and a movie called 'Little Bigfoot.' It is just as bad as you think it would be, and worse.
11: Oh ok, favorite movie too.

Hmm... A few would include Your Name, Fantastic Mr. Fox, and Wall-E, and Kubo and the Two Strings.
12: Coolest weird trick you can do?

I can't do anything really weird/cool? I can do that thing where you flip a box and it lands on the right side about half the time.

Level 3: JadedStrayHyena

A sneak attack catches me off guard! Twelve more questions block the way, but my fighting gloves are still on from the last time.

1) Scariest thing you've watched or played?

I'm very bad with horror so I try to avoid it whenever I can. I've legitimately caused myself jumpscares in Minecraft before.
2) You're in a video game. What would be your big signature move/limit break/final smash type thing?

I'm not sure! Maybe something to do with robots/electronics since that seems to be my sona's theme. Either that, or the generic 'summon all my characters to beat you up' type of deal
3) Keeping in the video game theme, if you were more an NPC in a game instead, what would you be like?

Bring me scattered music sheets across the lands, and I'll teach you new moves!
4) If you could have any singer or music group make a song or theme for you, who would you pick?

Ooh this is an interesting one. Does Mozart count?
5) Do you have more heroic or villainous characters? (Neutral is an option too.)

I have precious cinnamon rolls and also characters who conquer universes without remorse so there's a lot of range here.
6) Favorite of one of your friend's OC designs? (Yes a chance to show your friends some love)

A lot of my friends have really really cool designs, but most recently, perplexingPariah's Death is a very very good design that really stands out to me.
7) Favorite quote/line that you can remember?

Hmmm, not sure! I don't really keep quotes in my head that are particularly inspiring.
8) Favorite animal?

Arctic fox! They are very cute.
9) Any big regrets?

Again not particularly! I think I had a bit of a weird phase on dA where I tried too hard to fit in and it made things kind of awkward a few times, so maybe telling past me to chill out would be nice.
10) Favorite vacation?

My house is my vacation! I don't particularly like travelling places, so maybe a pretty chill place, if I had to. Forests are nice.
11) Zombies appear! What would you do!?

It is time to survive as long as I can in the apocalypse, my dudes.
12) Bookending this: What moment that you've watched or played gave you the most feels?

As strange as it might be, when I beat Rogue Legacy for the first time, I was left speechless for a good while.
I haven't played it, but Celeste is very emotional as well.

Level 4: emeraldrae

Betrayed by another Mystery Mayhem friend! I've been Julius Cesar'ed. My corpse lays motionless on the ground.
Good thing I've got that one-up from Volume Three.

1. Which of your OCs is your favorite?

Hahaha oh god imagine picking one out of 650 as your favorite.
Some that I particularly like are Abbey, Grace, Mae, Raizor, Hanna, Fable... this hurts me but I am gonna stop there.
2. You have died and are given the choice to either go to heaven or be reborn with all of your memories intact. What do you choose?

This is an interesting one! I think it'd be cool to have a second pass through life! New Game +, heck yeah
3. What is something you hate about something you love?

Creative endeavors take so much time to make
4. What is something you love about something you hate?

Not sure if this counts, but Undertale is a genuinely fantastic game, it's just that the internet utterly destroyed it.
5. What is your favorite flavor of anything?

I love lemon, but otherwise apple tends to be a safe bet.
6. If expense weren't an issue, what would be your ideal two-week vacation?

As mentioned earlier, I don't really enjoy being away from the house for too long! So somewhere close-by or chill, so I could keep working on things... >>
7. What genre of music best suits your personality?

I think I'm fairly chill and relaxed, I don't get too energetic about that many things. And I DO do a lot of working on projects for extended periods of time..... oh god I'm lofi hip hop beats to study/relax to
8. Which is your favorite of one of your friend's OC designs? (stealing Hyena's question because I thought it was really good)

A repeat! Yesss time to show off more friend's art stuffs. RexyTheT-Rexy's Algae Girl is another one of my favorite designs I've seen on this site.
9. If you could cosplay as anyone/anything, who/what would you be?

HMM, probably a character of one of my friends! My personality is pretty chill so I'm not sure if I'd want to go too crazy and attract    a t t e n t i o n   but indeed.
10. What's your favorite minor holiday?

MINOR holiday you say? Not sure how minor is minor, but I like the idea of book themed holidays. Pretty sure national book day is a thing?
11. If you could get rid of one of your flaws at the expense of one of your positive traits, would you do it? What traits would you choose?

I don't think I would do it actually! I think I'd want to become a better person through experience and work! I think if you chose something then it might be harder in the long run.
12. What is your useless human trick?

My useless human trick? Ah! Right, for indeed I am a human and as such I have a human trick. My human bones make lots of cracking noises and yet I remain perfectly fine, as I am indeed a human! Such wonder!

Bonus Level: Nights2Dreams

Nights didn't tag anybody, but might as well dive right in! I'm a glutton for punishment!

1. What is a fandom you still enjoy being a part of the community for?

I'm not sure I'd say I'm particularly in the fandom for a community? I still keep up with news on Sonic, even though I'm not crazy intense into it.
2. Do you have a drawing or writing preference?  (human characters, aliens, creatures, ghosts, monsters.)

Hmm... most of my main series is humans/humanoids, but in particular, following humans through experiences with some of the other examples listed! There are aliens, robots, monsters, ghosts, strange creatures... but typically protagonists tend to be humans/humanoids.
3. What's a song you like but know people around you don't care for?

This is a tough one. I'm not really sure, but I think my family wouldn't be too into some of the game music I listen to.
4. Who pushes you the hardest to push you to be the best you that you can be?

I'm inspired a lot by several artists I've met through OCTs to improve on both my art and my storytelling. Ultimately though, I push myself a lot too, because the nature of my work means I'm working on stories I've had planned for many years (before working on my newest ideas), meaning that as I'm working, I know that I have the potential to grow even more, which helps with motivation too.
5. What's the craziest place you've taken inspiration from?

Dreams are pretty bizarre, and I've taken a TON of inspiration from my own dreams. Other examples might be random word phrases, for example, 'the girl made of glass' came into my head one day and I just had to build a character around it.
6. What do you think is the hardest part about creating the things you care about?

The hardest part is doing it, finding the time and keeping motivation. It's easy to get stuck in the concept/idea phase! But if you never do it, the ideas will stay there until they're gone.
7. What's your goal in life and was it always that same goal or something different?

My goal in life right now is to create stories and comics that myself and others enjoy. It would be nice to do it for a living eventually.
When I was a kid, I wanted to discover a new species of dinosaur! I really liked dinosaurs as a kid.
8. What's a word you've struggled to spell for the longest time or still have trouble spelling?

Onomatapeia ...? That was my first attempt at spelling Onomatopoeia, which is the right way to spell it.
9. Are you left handed or right handed?

I'm right handed!
10. Have you broken any bones or had surgery before?

I've never broken any of my own bones, but I did have a surgery in which they broke my jaw and moved it forwards to correct an overbite that might have caused some breathing problems later in life. I was very swollen and had to eat very differently for basically the whole summer.
11. Any pets?

Not currently! In the past I've had a couple of fish, but mainly a sweet dog named Joon. She passed away a few years ago but she was the best and I loved her very much.
12. What's a song that when you hear one line of it anywhere you can't help but sing along?

I pride myself on being able to refrain from singing and dancing, because I'm no fun , but I must admit I will sing along internally to almost any song I know the lyrics to.

BOSS FIGHT: perplexingPariah

I've almost made it out but... what's this? A menacing adorable person stands between me and the end of this journal!

1) What is the earliest memory you have?

I believe I got stung by a bee along a nature trail by our old house.
2) What is your most memorable dream?

A recurring nightmare I used to have included The Green Goblin, the Wiggles, and grinding along a rail Sonic-style. It ended it pitch black darkness, with a huge ice dragon emerging from the horizon. I always woke up then, presumably because I had died, but one day I remembered the dream enough while asleep to lucid dream and give myself a sword when the dragon emerged. The act of doing so woke me up and I never had the dream again.
I've had quite a few lucid dream experiences since then! It's a ton of fun.
3) Why did you join deviantArt?

To post Sonic comics and art. Oh how the times change.
4) Guilty pleasure?

Minecraft is only sort of a guilty pleasure. It's a great game and there is a ton of depth to it should you choose to explore it.
5) You have to run a tabletop campaign. What would it be about?

Not entirely sure, but it would probably involve robots, music, and quite possibly time travel.
6) Describe what you're wearing RIGHT NOW!

I am wearing jeans and a red t-shirt with thin dark red stripes!
7) If you had to become one of your OCs and live their life, who would you be?

I have... a lot of tragedy in a lot of my stories. I would maybe become Fable, or maybe someone in the Fables universe, as those stories are a lot more chill! And involve far less death and destruction!
8) If you knew that you would not die, what is that most dangerous thing you would do?

Go to spaceeeeeeeee
I love space.
9) If you were a golem, what would you be made of and what purpose would you serve?

I would be made of metal and probably be a music golem! Playing music, or even helping a composer create music, or being an instrument for them to test compositions on!
10) You can have any number of wishes but you have to get rid of a body part every time you made a wish (e.g. an eye, a toe, a finger)... name your wishes and body parts you'd be willing to get rid of.

1. Giving up my leftmost toe, I wish for the ability to regrow body parts.
oh boy this probably isn't allowed.
In all seriousness, I don't care about my toes too much so let's say I get rid of six of them...
    1. The ability to pause time
    2. I don't need to eat
    3. I don't need to sleep
    4. I can be more consistent in art style yes I'm taking a shortcut right now sue me
    5. I can create stories and comics extremely fast
    6. The ability to teleport
I am all about saving time apparently
11) Tell me your best "dad joke".

I do enjoy the "Hi ____, I'm dad" response. I can't think of a standalone joke on the top of my head.
12) On a scale of 1-10 how would you rate your own attractiveness (physically)?

Probably around 7, maybe 8? I don't think I am AMAZING but I don't think I look too bad, hopefully a healthy amount of self confidence here without being egotistical.

I HAVE SURVIVED
thanks for all the tags everyone, this was quite fun!
I don't think I'll end up tagging people, just because most of the people I WOULD tag have already been tagged multiple times and I don't want to overwhelm them.

See you next time!

It's time for a generic New Years update!

How did my plans for 2018 go?
- Well, things got kind of crazy. I did NOT finish C6 in 2018, like I had planned, but I did draw a grand total of 219 comic pages. (51 for MysteryMayhemOCT )
- I however have just 2 chapters left, and then my fourth book will be complete! Hoo boy what a ride, after that there are just 2 more main books in Infinite Order!
- I also did not get much work done on Repentence but that's okay.
- A minimal amount of Chaos Run progress
- I DID finish and release my SMW hack "Princess Kaizo Land" to a surprisingly warm reception. It didn't blow up, but it has a speedrun.com leaderboard and a current average 5/5 star rating so I am quite happy with that.
- Speaking of OCTs, I joined Mystery Mayhem (which I thought was going to be my last) and have had a blast so far. (One person has gotten close to picking up on something, but so far I snicker in the shadows)
- Made some new online friends! And had some fun with IRL ones, though I should probably do more
- Kind of got a job after a long time of searching? It's only part time and pays way less than someone with a computer science degree should be paid but the opportunity for growth is there and I need to get my parents off my back so why not :/

If it weren't for one thing I would have viewed this as kind of a lackluster year. And that is because joining Mystery Mayhem was the best decision of my life. I met someone extremely special. Without going into too many specifics, she's made me a heck of a lot happier, brought me out of my shell, and in general just changed my life infinitely for the better. I love her a lot.

So I am coming for 2019 with a vengeance!
The plans:
- Finish C6 (Should be done by March at the latest)
- Finish Repentence (Probably latter half of the year)
- Keep doing Mystery Mayhem (as long as I can)
- Chaos Run- I'd like to finish this as well. Probably mid year to latter half once again
- I have plans to join OneYearJourney-OCT with perplexingPariah ! We want to practice working together in a comics setting because we will be doing a whole lot of it in the future! We also want to break your hearts
- On that note: Not sure if one of our collabs will start this next year? It's possible but don't want to make promises

- Be healthier. Everyone says this. Walk more, exercise more, eat better. I want to end 2019 not being so underweight.
- Move out to get a place with the boo

I think once things stabilize a bit, these goals are achievable. Mystery Mayhem took up a lot of time this year and is probably why I didn't finish C6? (there's probably around 50 pages of C6 left, for reference) but I am still very very glad I decided to join. I've been a little bit more involved in the discord than in past octs and the community is great.

For the first time in a long time I am genuinely excited about the future.

Ciao for now,
-Chaos
